The Seattle offensive line must protect quarterback Russell Wilson from a Rams' pass rush led by Aaron Donald, who has 6.5 sacks in his last three games against the Seahawks, and Clay Matthews, who has a team-leading five sacks this season. The pass dropped into the back left corner of the end zone, finding Tyler Lockett for a touchdown.

It was insane to see on TV and in person but just how insane and improbable was the entire play?

There is no way to overestimate how big Seattle's victory over the Los Angeles Rams was.

Seattle led the National Football League in rushing last season and two of its best games came against the Rams.

"We lost the game, so it doesn't really matter what happened in the first quarter", Gurley said.

He continued to escape the clutches of Aaron Donald and Clay Matthews late in the game - only getting sacked once - and had one last scoring drive in him to give Seattle its go-ahead touchdown that nearly didn't happen after a bobbled catch.

Everett caught a 30-yard pass on the second play of the second half as part of a 75-yard touchdown drive as the Rams took a 20-14 lead. It is good that the Seahawks have such a great quarterback.

Credited with saving the Seahawks for Seattle, Allen, a co-founder of Microsoft, oversaw the most successful stretch in team history, including a Super Bowl championship after the 2013 season.

Thursday night's game the second prime-time game of the season for the Rams, who beat the Browns on a Sunday night two weeks ago. Seattle has been wonderful in primetime at home since head coach Pete Carroll arrived, and both games with the Rams past year were shootouts where Lockett hauled in TDs. His favourite target is Cooper Kupp who has returned better than ever from his ACL injury, he's topped 100 yards in 3 games straight and has 3 TDs in those three games as well. Better yet, why haven't the Rams found a way to get rookie Darrell Henderson involved instead of only allowing the Memphis product to see one carry so far through five games?

The Rams gained nine yards on third down to get to the 26 and still should have made their kick, but Greg Zuerlein pushed it.
