ET confirmed earlier on Tuesday that Weber - the new star of the Bachelor franchise - had sustained injuries to his face following an accident in Costa Rica.

This season's bachelor is Peter Weber - AKA "Pilot Pete", because he's a commercial airline pilot, enjoys flying puns (they're just plane fun) and showed up to a previous season dressed in his uniform. "He got a cut on his head, he did get stitches but he's 100% OK", Harrison said.

Weber was rushed to hospital on Monday after injuring himself on a golf course, Radar Online reports.

RadarOnline's source says the injury occurred when Weber "went to step on the [golf] cart but fell and and split his face open on two cocktail glasses he was carrying".

Weber was reportedly transported to a hospital nearly two hours away, where he received 22 stitches on his face.

Harrison, 48, then assured fans, "He's still the dashing, handsome pilot we've all dreamed of". Season 24 of The Bachelor is set to premiere in January.

Peter was officially announced as The Bachelor's next star on the reunion for Bachelor in Paradise's sixth season days before filming began, however ABC actually released the names and photos of the season's bachelorettes before Peter was formally announced.

Peter Weber came third on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette. "I'm ready to move on and I'm ready to find my girl, and I'm very hopeful this is going to work out". "I've had the most fantastic example of my parents, growing up, and I feel like the luckiest kid ever".

Shortly after the Bachelorette finale, Weber told PEOPLE he'd definitely be on board to be Bachelor if asked.
