The Batman Cast Adds Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman

If Matt Reeves and WB feel that Kravitz is the best person for the job in The Batman, then we should trust them.

The film is being billed as a grounded take on the Dark Knight and will feature many of Batman villains. The final four are said to have been Ana de Armas, Ella Balinska, Eiza Gonzalez, and Kravitz.

Matt Reeves assumed Batman directing duties from Ben Affleck in January 2017.

Pre-production on the Warner Bros. She'll be appearing alongside Robert Pattinson, who is playing Bruce Wayne/Batman. Also confirmed as cast so far as production ramps up is Westworld's Jeffrey Wright in the role of Batman's long-time ally Police Commissioner Jim Gordon.

For a while now, I told BOF readers "After JOKER" when asked when we might hear the next round of THE BATMAN casting news. Zoe Kravitz herself has built a good list of films that she has worked on that include The Fantastic Beasts and Divergent franchisees, as well as X-Men: First Class and Mad Max Fury Road.

Reeves is the filmmaker behind the last two Planet of the Apes sequels. She made her breakthrough by playing Pearl in the television series Californication.

Quite how we'll see her bring Catwoman to life remains to be seen, but it sounds like we're going to get a more grounded take on the character.
