Knicks agree to trade Morris to Clippers

Clippers Intend To Release Isaiah Thomas

Report: Knicks send Morris to Clippers in 3-way trade with Wizards

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly been engaged in serious discussions with the New York Knicks, along with their hallway rivals the Los Angeles Clippers, regarding forward Marcus Morris.

The Clippers plan to waive Thomas, league sources told ESPN.

The reported deal will also move Isaiah Thomas to the Clippers, Maurice Harkless and a 2020 first-round pick to the Knicks, and Jerome Robinson to the Wizards.

Over the last couple of days, it was rumored that the Clippers and Lakers would battle for Marcus Morris of the New York Knicks, at the trade deadline. Mills was more inclined to keep Morris unless they got a whopping offer and try to re-sign their clutch No. 1 option who was shooting 43.9 percent from the 3-point land. Beyond that, he has taken his three-point shooting to the next level this year.

Harkless, 26, is averaging 5.5 points and 4.0 rebounds this season, his first with the Clippers. However, the Clippers appear closer than ever to acquiring Morris to give them another body to throw at LeBron James in the playoffs.

Thomas, 30, is averaging 12.2 points per game this season, his first with the Wizards.
