Osasuna vs. Real Madrid - Football Match Report

Zinedine Zidane explains Gareth Bale's absence

Ruthless Real down Osasuna for fifth straight La Liga win

The Wales global played over an hour in Real Madrid's 4-1 victory on Sunday before being substituted.

Isco and Sergio Ramos struck twice in the space of five minutes as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Osasuna 4-1 and establish a six-point lead at the top of La Liga.

Barca's exit in the Copa del Rey overshadowed Madrid's own shock defeat at home to Real Sociedad in the quarter-finals, a loss that brought a dramatic end to their 21-match unbeaten run.

La Liga fantasy: Sign up now!

Isco opened the scoring against Osasuna at El Sadar to net his 50th goal and a Real Madrid player. "He has shown it".

"Bale has not featured in our last three games, but today he performed well for 70 minutes".

"Then, the problem is that they want us to have a problem with Gareth, but there is not one". I'm happy for his goal. Offensively and defensively he gave everything.

"He was a bit short physically at the end, so he has left the field".

This season Brozovic has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Inter and he has proven to be absolutely integral to the way that the team play.

"I'm happy for him", Zidane added.

Jovic scored only his second league goal in a season where he has struggled for form and confidence. "He needed it, he's a pure striker and you can say a lot of things, that he is playing well, but if he doesn't score he isn't happy".

"He has to improve but I'm happy for his goal, he's going to come good".

Eden Hazard was absent once more, with the Belgium playmaker running out of time to prove his fitness before the UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester City at the end of this month.

"We'll see this week; we hope to see him next week".
